Fractal Loop Glossary
Fractal Loop
A repeating pattern, that signifies a change in layer from one to another. It signifies a value change and repeats on itself like a chicken and an egg. An egg isn't a chicken and a chicken isn't an egg, but one produces each other.
Fractal Staircase
A spiral staircase that allows you to travel between floors. Each step that you take gets you one step closer to your destination.
Being aware of the steps and what is required at each step allows you to know what it takes to get between the floors. It's not a jump or a drop, it's a known sequence that facilitates movement. Without it, we might be stuck on a floor with no way of moving between them.
Holism - Gestalt Theory
Gestalt theory, particularly the concept of Holism, suggests that the human mind perceives patterns and wholes rather than simply a collection of parts. The core idea is that when elements are combined, they form a meaningful structure that cannot be fully understood by analyzing the individual components alone. This phenomenon reflects the belief that the whole experience, whether it’s a visual scene, a musical composition, or social interaction, is more than just the sum of its parts. For example, when looking at a picture, the image as a whole conveys a message or feeling that individual colors and shapes on their own cannot express.
Fractal
A fractal is a term coined by Mandlebrot in the 70's. It refers to a pattern that is self-repeating, if you look at it's edge it has the same pattern as the whole and as you zoom in or out the pattern repeats on itself infinitely. The fractal pattern came from mathematics - it's not just an image. It's a representation of a pattern that can exist on repeat no matter what scale you look at it you see that same pattern - and that's true in mathematics as well.
